The 100 Cats Challenge

The 100 Cats Challenge is my biggest project to date — a celebration of cats from all over the world, each captured in a tiny 4"x4" portrait. What started as a fun way to practice painting cats, turned into something bigger and more meaningful: a way to share real cat stories and honour the quirky, lovable traits that make each unique. Every portrait features a cat submitted by their human, complete with a fun accessory that reflects their personality — from baguettes to bow ties. This project has not only pushed me creatively but has also built a vibrant community around the shared joy of celebrating our cats through art.

  • Cat 26: Cheese

  • Cat 43: Boo

Boo was rescued from a garbage can at just 5 weeks old, and despite being the runt, she came with a huge personality. She’s a clever, food-obsessed tuxedo cat who’s sweet to her chosen humans—but beware if you’re a child or in possession of a hair tie when she’s in a mood.
